Ben Herring AustraliaOutstanding Peter. Love it
Edwin Silkstone EnglandGood introduction to emphasise the need to follow a disciplined procedure to get both power and accuracy through the ball. Most interesting and I will apply these key points.!
Jason Beggs CanadaHaving been a 9/10 kicker in my youth – most relied on natural talent & figuring out your own “technique”. This video breaks down the kick with such simple clear and efficient lessons – it is something I wish I had! I really enjoyed the body position progressions (plant, firm kicking foot, draw back with leg then arm, follow through hop, and nose over toes) to promote an efficient and powerful kick. It also offers some KPI’s that I can use to offer feedback as players execute this. Thank you very much, a very insightful video.
John Walker EnglandLike many coaches I was never a kicker during my playing days and never met a kicker who was coached in the detail. Until recently it seems that kicking skills were left to the kickers natural ability. Things have started to change but again but some kicking videos missed out on the pre kicking techniques. Peter goes to the basic pre kicking drills so sorely lacking and needed to develop a players kicking skills. Not only does he develop the player but the skills and more importantly, the confidence in the coach to present and deliver these skills. One suggestion I would make for coaches and players is to make and use "KEY POINTS skill cards to carry with them in order to refer to and refresh their memories. A long awaited and very good series.
