Attack Session Plan - Fundamentals of Attack - Y with The Rugby Site
The purpose of this session plan is to familarise your players with the key elements of Rugby Attack play. The Site has a number of excellent videos from the world's best Attack coaches including Wayne Smith, Joe Schmidt and Gregor Townsend. This session plan is based around Joe Schmidt's Attack Fundamentals and Wayne Smith's Decision Making in Attack and you can continue to revisit this session with your players at any time and at any level.
Part 1. Warmup - L Shape passing 6:36 Member content
As always start the session with a warm up with the ball in hand.
The L-shape passing drill is a good way to prime your players for this attack based session.
It gets the players moving into different lines in attack and defense.
Black Ferns assistant coach Wesley Clarke presents this drill very well focusing on the skill elements being developed.
Also any of Mils Muliana’s or Brendon’s Catch and Pass drills are fine to warm up with as well.
