Score the try and present the ball long is key to delivering good ball at the Breakdown. Dave Ellis finishes his Breakdown series with the Takapuna Grammar 2nd XV emphasising the key steps in placing the ball ‘Long’ when tackled. Long placement away from the opposition is ideal, fight to score the try, body height down into contact. Coaches deliver clear messages and a clear understanding of what you are trying to achieve.
