One on One Defence - All with Shane Williams
I give away about 4 or 5 stone to some of the bigger wingers I play against. In this module I'll share with you the tackling technique that has worked for me over 11 years of international rugby. Showing you how to use an attackers momentum to bring them to the ground, stay on top of them and execute turnovers.

Course reviews
Gareth Davies NetherlandsThis is another of the must-share videos. Simple strategies and executions really build confidence within the team. These are the insights being shared player-to-player during training. Great to see.
Fabian Barbato UruguayNice drill!
Galu P Satele USAGreat technique I used it today to prepare my U19 team for High School playoffs.. Thank you for sharing
GRAHAM EDWARDS BelgiumSometimes the things that come naturally to an experienced player are succinctly and helpfully broken down into coachable parts. This is what this great little video does.
Simon Critchlow EnglandA real confidence builder for all young players, both big and small. Extremely clear.
Nicolas Llugdar Argentinabuen recurso para tacklear, ponerse de pie y pescar
Ako Lawrence Papua New GuineaThis is a great technique. especially for smaller blokes up against big players.
Carrick Pell USAGreat vid by a MACHINE Defender. The only caution is to watch for lazy/tired defenders to use legs to “trip” tackle.
juan manuel yacobitti Argentinabueno
gustavo miguel pablo bendini Argentinamuy bueno
John Spandley Great Britain & Northern IrelandReally like it! It will be very useful
Donn O'Sullivan IrelandALL videos keep closing off after 2.30 secs? Is there an issue here?
Ed Chamberlain Englandexcellent! – really clear explanation and demonstration.
garro Argentinarealmente da resultado muy bueno
Coach Sy AustraliaGreat technique, :-)
Scott Morton CanadaWhile it focuses on just one technique for tackling, it’s incredibly useful for how to use that one technique. As a smaller player myself I’ve watched it a few times and used the technique this weekend on player twice my size who tried to fend me off, needless to say he was quite shocked when he was on the ground and was turning over the ball. Thanks for the technique.
Pablo Antonio Montenegro ArgentinaMUY BUEN RECURSO
Roger C. Wilson USAIt’s short. And it’s really about just one technique: Shane’s preferred method for tackling runners who use the fending arm (as well as getting into position post-tackle). But that technique is helpful and is well illustrated in the practice examples.
Kolose Feaunati AustraliaGreat video, tackling an attacker that has a good fend is very hard for some young players, I will definitely use Shane’s video for my U13s teams.
